Member Spotlight: Adrienne Belton

Adrienne Belton

Where are you from? Pueblo, Colorado, a resident of Colorado Springs for 4 years now

What do you do? I’m a mom, wife, daughter, sister, cousin, friend, but by day I’m a Paralegal.

How’d you hear/find out about CrossFit and how long have you been doing it? What motivated you to give it a try in the first place? The owners are friends of mine. They came to the law firm where I work to help them form their business. Learning more about their business and what they were going to offer quickly caught my attention. It seems like all of my friends were doing CrossFit. I knew nothing about it. I was the first person to knock it…and then I finally decided to tr y it. Now, I love CrossFit!

How has CrossFit impacted your life? Where do I begin?! First of all, I have found a new sense of energy and strength. I’m more motivated to eat healthier and live a healthier lifestyle overall, because of CrossFit. I have found that my mood is better and more positive. I now find myself bragging about CrossFit and its benefits.

What do you enjoy about being a member at CrossFit NCS? Since I have never tried CrossFit prior to becoming a member at CrossFit NCS, I have nothing to compare it to. However, I have no desire to go anywhere else. The atmosphere at this box is amazing! Everyone is so supportive and helpful of one another. No matter the age, size, ability, or fitness level of the athletes that are in the classes I attend, they are all so supportive and encouraging of one another. I feel like I stumbled upon a whole new family here!

What’s your favorite workout? I’d say my favorite workout is one that doesn’t involve burpees! Haha However, I greatly enjoy working on my deadlift and back squat.

What would your birthday workout be? My birthday WOD would be an AMRAP that does not include burpees or wallballs. That would be a great day! 🙂

Do you have a quote/motto you live by? “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain!”

What’s something fun/awesome/interesting you’d like people to know about you? I love to dance and used to teach Zumba. They go hand-in-hand.
