Where are you from? I grew up in a small town in Illinois, lived in Chicago for a while after college, but have been in Colorado more than 10 years. Have lived all over Colorado, but the Springs is my most favorite place.
What do you do? Proposal Manager for an engineering company.
How’d you hear/find out about CrossFit and how long have you been doing it? What motivated you to give it a try in the first place? Someone talked me into going to a crossfit gym several years ago, before it became as mainstream as it is now. I was motivated by all the bad ass girls I saw working out.
How has CrossFit impacted your life? The workouts carry over into every aspect of daily life in that you learn you can push through almost anything if you don’t give up!
What do you enjoy about being a member at CrossFit NCS? Lots of things. Ray and Stephanie are always funny and upbeat! Realizing incremental but measurable progress. The community is encouraging and supportive. The gym is always clean and the equipment is well maintained. The emphasis on safety makes this gym accessible to anyone-even someone who isn’t currently working out. It’s inclusive!
What’s your favorite workout? Anything that involves legs and strength training and not running!
What would your birthday workout be? Deadlifts or squats.
Do you have a quote/motto you live by? It’s 5:00 somewhere. 🙂
What’s something fun/awesome/interesting you’d like people to know about you? I get overly excited about presents (both giving and receiving), I’m a horribly impatient driver and I love big dogs and own three, plus an occasional foster pup.
Where are you from? I was born in southern California but my folks moved to a farm in Fountain, CO when I was a year old. Been in and around Colorado Springs ever since.
What do you do? Contracts Manager….oh and anything else my boss tells me to do. 🙂
How’d you hear/find out about CrossFit and how long have you been doing it? What motivated you to give it a try in the first place? My friend Michele Eskins motivated me to try it out. I’m happy she did.
How has CrossFit impacted your life? I’m working parts of my body that I haven’t in a long time. Squats!
What do you enjoy about being a member at CrossFit NCS? I love the personal attention I get from Ray and Stephanie. They are very knowledgeable about proper technique and spend the time making sure I do every exercise correct for maximum effect and safety. They don’t even seem to mind my whining from time to time.
What’s your favorite workout? I like the box jumps (in my case, it’s step ups) and I like the wall balls. Both of these exercises really get my heart rate going. If I never do a burpee again, I’ll be fine with that! LOL
What would your birthday workout be? A hike with the group. September
Do you have a quote/motto you live by? The glass is half full!
What’s something fun/awesome/interesting you’d like people to know about you? I love watching Michele with presents, she can’t stand it when they’re not opened immediately!! Riding with Michele in a car is ALWAYS a fun experience for me! Just kidding Michele.
I’m actually a very country type girl who listens to Hip Hop and POP music. I love to quilt in the winter and can fruits and vegetables in the summer and fall. These are crafts my mother taught me and now my older children are experimenting with. Puts a smile on my face when they call me to share their stories.
