Why CrossFit? Why Come to CrossFit NCS?

So why CrossFit? Why not just lift weights? Run? Swim? Ride a bicycle? That’s a good question, and there’s a good answer. Any one of these activities is good exercise, but they aren’t be the only exercise someone needs.  

CrossFit is more than a just workout – it’s a lifestyle that promotes all-around fitness. People who choose CrossFit and stick with it see great results toward their goals. The workouts are constantly varied, functional movements (metabolic conditioning, weightlifting and gymnastics) performed at high-intensity. CrossFit workouts spark metabolism, generate lean muscle, increase endurance and strength. In fact, CrossFit increases the 10 General Physical Skills:

Stronger Than

Every day something challenges us. Some challenges are significant and gut wrenching.  Some days we don’t even recognize that we’ve been challenged, but we have to acknowledge it, even when it is small. Some days the challenge is self-imposed. Ultimately, we need to be stronger than whatever the challenge may be. How gracefully you respond, when you refuse to quit, when you take that step forward when you want to hide, you’ve become stronger than whatever life throws in front of you. 

Why do you CrossFit?  We believe it’s because you want to be  – and can be – stronger than.  Stronger than circumstance. Stronger than adversity. Stronger than who you were yesterday.  Stronger than the mountain. Stronger than illness. Stronger than age. Stronger than the barbell you just loaded yourself. Stronger than quitting. 

We train in CrossFit so that we are stronger than whatever faces us.
